A cunning card game of simultaneous choices. Slot your numbers into rows and don't be the one who takes the sixth card.
The goal is to rack up as few penalty points as possible by carefully fitting your cards into the rows. Just 4 steps.
Everyone gets 10 numbered cards. Four starter rows are laid out on the table, one card each.
Everyone plays one card face-down at the same time, then they're revealed — from lowest to highest.
A card goes into the row whose last number is lower and closest to it. Rows grow from left to right.
Place the sixth card in a row and you take all five and their penalty points. Fewest points at the end wins.
Sixth Takes is a game of reading other people's moves: you decide in the dark, but the outcome depends on which numbers your opponents play, so every round is a small bet against the whole table. Low cards are safer, but you also need to shed the high ones in time, before a row gets too long.
