Work out where you are — from one panorama

You are dropped somewhere random on the planet. No labels, no place names: just the street around you. Figure out where you are and drop a pin — the closer, the more points.

What it looks like

A round looks like this: the panorama around you, the round pills and score along the top, and the answer map in the corner. No labels — working out where you are is the whole game.

How it works

1Read the panoramaRoad signs, the language on shopfronts, which side traffic drives on, vegetation, utility poles — every detail narrows down the country.
2Drop a pinClick the map in the corner. It expands on hover, and you can move the pin until you commit.
3Score pointsUp to 5000 per round for a direct hit, falling off exponentially with distance. Up to 25,000 for a five-round game.

Frequently asked

Do I need an account?

No. The game opens straight away and there are no accounts at all. Progress lives in your browser; you can add a name for the leaderboard at the end of a game.

Is it free?

Completely. No subscription, no limit on how many games you play.

What is the daily challenge?

The same five locations for every player in the world, changing every day. You get one attempt per day and the result goes on a shared leaderboard.

What makes hardcore different?

You cannot pan, zoom or move along the street — only what is visible from one spot in one direction.

Can two people play together?

Yes. In duel mode one player creates a room and gets a four-character code; the other joins with the code or a link. Both take the same five locations and see each other’s score as they play.

What is a challenge link?

After any game you can copy a link that gives a friend exactly the same five locations, with your score shown as the target to beat.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, both the panorama and the map are built for touch.
