Keno is a single-player game of chance. You mark up to 10 numbers on the field in advance, place a bet with virtual chips, and then the machine randomly draws 20 numbers out of 80. The task is simple: guess as many of your numbers as possible among those drawn. The more matches for the chosen count of numbers, the higher the payout multiplier. The outcome is decided entirely by the random draw — there is no strategy here, only luck.
Before the draw you fill out a "ticket" — a playing field of 80 numbers arranged as a 10×10 grid. On muta.pro the game runs on virtual chips: the balance starts at 2,000, and if it falls below 10, it is automatically topped up back to 2,000. No real money is used — it is a fully demo mode. To the right of the field are the balance, the bet size and the paytable.
In front of you is a 10×10 grid — numbers from 1 to 80. This is the field on which you mark your prediction before starting the draw.
Click the numbers, choosing up to 10 of them. Selected ones are highlighted in gold; clicking again deselects. If you try to mark more, the message "You can select no more than 10 numbers" appears.
Set your bet in chips (50 by default, minimum 10). Change it with the −/+ buttons in steps of 10, or with the quick bets 10 / 50 / 100 / 250. The bet is deducted when the draw starts.
Press "🎰 Draw" — the machine randomly draws 20 numbers out of 80 and rolls them out one by one. The counter shows "drawn X / 20".
Every drawn number that matches yours is highlighted. The indicator "Selected X / 10 · matches Y" tracks how many numbers you have guessed.
When the draw is over, the winnings are calculated by the paytable: win = bet × multiplier. The multiplier depends on how many numbers you marked and how many you guessed.
The size of the win is determined by the paytable. It links two parameters: how many numbers you marked (from 1 to 10) and how many of them you guessed in the draw. Each such pair has its own multiplier, and the result is calculated by a simple formula:
win = bet × multiplier. For example, if the multiplier equals 5, then a bet of 50 chips brings 250 chips. The more hits for the chosen number of picks, the higher the multiplier: an exact hit of all 10 out of 10 gives a huge multiplier, whereas a pair guessed among ten marked may bring nothing. If the multiplier equals 0 — there is no win, and the bet is lost. After the draw the balance is immediately updated by the payout amount.
Keno has no strategy: the draw is random, and any combination of numbers is equally likely. Play for the thrill, not for a "system".

The chips are virtual, there is no real money. Run out — the balance tops itself up to 2,000, so you can experiment without risk.
The more numbers you mark, the higher the potential multipliers, but the harder it is to hit them all. Fewer numbers — more frequent small wins.
In Keno each draw is 20 numbers randomly drawn out of 80, that is, exactly a quarter of the field "lights up". This means the probability that any one of your numbers ends up among those drawn equals 20/80 = 25%. All the odds follow from this: the more numbers you mark, the more rarely you manage to guess them all at once.
Of 16 cells of the field, 4 glow gold — roughly every fourth number comes up, and that is the basic 25%.
The chance to guess it is the same 25%. The most frequent win, but the multiplier is small.
Guessing all 5 out of 5 is about 0.06%, that is, once in ~1,550 draws. But you catch 2–3 matches more often.
A full hit of 10 out of 10 is about 1 chance in 8.9 million draws. It is precisely for this near-impossibility that a gigantic multiplier is given.
RTP (return to player) is the share of bets that the game returns on average over the long run. Keno is traditionally one of the "greediest" lotteries: for classic versions the RTP stays around 70–80%, and the house edge is accordingly 20–30%. This is built into the paytable itself and does not depend on which numbers you mark.
The second important parameter is variance (spread). Few numbers — low variance: wins are small but frequent. Many numbers — high: long runs of empty draws for the sake of a rare big hit. On muta.pro everything runs on virtual chips, so you can safely feel the variance for yourself without risk.
70–80% does not mean "you get back 75 chips out of 100 per round". In a single draw you get either 0 or a multiple of the bet; the averaging shows up only over hundreds of draws.
No choice of numbers changes the built-in edge. "Lucky" and "cold" numbers are equal — the generator does not remember past draws.
Want frequent emotions — take 2–4 numbers. Want a jackpot hunt — 8–10, but be ready for droughts.
You cannot beat a mathematically negative game with a betting system — but you can stretch the bankroll and make the session longer and more interesting. It all comes down to discipline: decide the bet size relative to the balance in advance and do not "chase" losses.
Keep the bet at around 1–2% of the balance. At a start of 2,000 chips that is 10–50 — exactly the minimum and the standard bet on muta.pro.
Decide in advance how many chips you are willing to "cycle" through. Reached the limit — stop or clear the ticket, rather than raising the bet.
After an empty draw you want to double the bet. This speeds up draining the bankroll and does not change the odds of the next draw.
The 10 / 50 / 100 / 250 buttons are handy, but 250 is a fifth of a quarter of the bankroll. Big bets sharply shorten the game.
The balance restores itself to 2,000 if it falls below 10. Use this to test different ticket sizes, not to "win it back".
A lot of "folk systems" have piled up around Keno. Almost all of them rest on a misunderstanding of how an independent random draw works. Let's sort out the most harmful misconceptions.
The number 7 "hasn't come up" for five draws in a row — but its chance in the next draw is still exactly 25%; the machine has no memory.
