How to play

The goal is to fill in the right cells so a picture appears. Just 4 steps to your first game.

01

Read the clues

Numbers beside rows and columns show the lengths of solid blocks of filled cells in that line.

02

Count the blocks

Several numbers mean blocks in that same order, each separated by at least one empty cell.

03

Fill and mark

Fill the cells you're sure of, and mark known-empty cells with a cross so you don't lose track.

04

Reveal the picture

Cross-check rows and columns logically — when it all lines up, the image appears on the board.

About the game

Nonograms (also known as Japanese crosswords) are logic puzzles in which a pixel picture gradually emerges from numeric clues. There's no luck or guessing here: every step follows from strict logic, and the pleasure comes from the very process of untangling the grid. A great workout for attention and deduction. On muta.pro you can solve nonograms right in your browser, no install required — the generator serves up levels from easy to genuinely hard.
