An eight-by-eight duel where the board flips every turn. Trap your opponent's discs and claim the majority of the squares.
The goal is to have more of your own discs on the board by the end of the game. Just 4 steps.
Two discs of each color are placed crosswise in the center of the 8×8 board. Black moves first.
Place a disc so that an unbroken row of your opponent's discs sits between it and one of your existing discs.
Every disc trapped between two of yours flips to your color — across all lines at once.
You must move if a trap is available. When no moves remain, count the discs: whoever's color is in the majority wins.
Reversi is a strategy game with deceptively simple rules and very deep planning: a disc that flips a lot right now often hands your opponent a corner — and the loss — later on. Controlling the corners and edges is worth more than grabbing the center in the moment. On muta.pro you can play Reversi with a friend via a room code or against a bot — right in your browser, no install required.
